Our Europe Trip (Video)
This past May, Emily and I planned a trip to Europe to visit two new cities, Copenhagen and Budapest, and our favorite city, Barcelona. This trip was the first time I've been back in Europe since just after graduation (when I certainly didn't have much money) and thus I had the funds to plan this trip with more freedom. We carefully researched and chose where we wanted to stay, what we wanted to see, and where we wanted to eat, while still leaving enough unplanned that our trip felt more spontaneous than not.
In planning, I also decided to pick up a used GoPro Hero 4 Silver and a Yuneec Breeze 4k to document things in a new way. My experience with filming in the past few years is basically 0, and while things didn't turn out exactly the way we had hoped at times, I learned a lot along the way. Over the past 6 months, I spent countless hours recoloring footage (the raw video settings I chose were TERRIBLE), learning about transitions and effects, and wondering why I decided it would be a good idea to pan and tilt the camera in 99% of the shots, but in the end I came away with something we can always look back on to remember our trip.
